The owners’ families live in foreign countries, so they wanted a space to accommodate visits for extended periods. The owners desired a luxury bath, large bedroom, laundry, full kitchen, dining area, family area, powder room and a flexible space for an office/sitting area. The garage plan was developed to provide 1,356 square feet of heated space. To keep the costs manageable and the original appearance of the home, we built within the existing roof system, using the existing dormers for egress requirements. An additional dormer was added over the breezeway to create the office flex area.
