The Step-By-Step Process to NARI Certification

  1. Download the comprehensive application for the certification you are seeking from the NARI website.
  2. Review the certification requirements to ensure you are eligible.
  3. Include a check, made payable to NARI, or credit card information to cover the certification fee. NARI accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. (For credit card payment, include the name on the credit card, complete billing address, card number, and expiration date.)
  4. Mail your application and payment, or fax if paying by credit card, to your local NARI chapter if they are accepting applications. Or you may submit your application directly to NARI’s national office.
  5. NARI National will send your certification materials as soon as your application has been approved and payments have been processed, usually within 7 to 10 business days.
  6. Your study group leader will schedule your test date and coordinate with NARI National for test ordering.
  7. Sit for the exam.
  8. The NARI Certification Board will review your exam score before accepting or declining your certification. Candidates are usually notified of the certification board’s decision within 30 days of the exam.
  9. Successful candidates will receive their certification materials approximately 10 business days after the Certification Board has made its decision. Often, chapters request certificates be sent directly to them to they can have a special presentation honoring new recipients.

How involved do you want to be in your remodeling project

  • Very involved. I have drawn my own sketch of what I want the space to look like
  • Mostly involved. I would like to make all my own product and color selections.
  • Somewhat. I'd like guidance from an expert to help me narrow my choices.
  • Not much. I will approve choices made by my remodeling contractor or designer.
  • Not at all. I will be out of town while my project is completed.
