This was a drafty and dated vacation home on the water. The goal was to maximize the view while creating an energy efficient space. An added challenge was the new second floor deck, which was located over a living space with no drainage details specified in the plans. A few of the products used to update the home were closed-cell insulation, DuPont Flexwrap, a Versatex exterior trim cut and installed with the Kreg system, Versatex window frames factory made with a nailing flange, Cedar Impressions and TimberTech Decking. The updated exterior now has a fabulous finish and a custom drainage system.
