This kitchen was remodeled so the homeowners could stay in it as they age as well as to upgrade as needed to complement the original style of this 1949 home.
A wall oven and microwave were added to minimize the need for bending. A new lighting plan was installed for increased task, general and accent lighting. Other updates include granite countertops, porcelain and glass tile backsplashes, new appliances and fixtures. The new cherry cabinetry contains two specialty glass doors that mimic the original cabinet doors as well as the other windows in the home. The cabinets have rollout shelves.
The hardwood floors were refinished to blend with the rest of the house.
