The design challenges in this bathroom included finding a tub/shower that was narrow enough to fit into the existing space, improve lighting, improve the spaciousness while maintaining quality storage and to do so within a lean budget.
Floating vanities and shallow-depth cabinetry, in addition to a tall shallow toiletry cabinet improved storage as well as create a feeling of more openness in the space. The tub plumbing was revered to allow a partial wall height with glass above to transfer the natural light from the existing window. Higher-wattage light fixtures increased light output for electrical to keep costs to a minimum.
To fit into the 271⁄ 2-square-foot wide space from the previous tub, a narrow tub was installed. Porcelain charcoal matte finished tiles were combined with a white linear matte textured porcelain tile to emphasis light and create contrast.
