These homeowners were in need of a display for the art and sculptures collected from their travels. They wanted the display itself to be a piece of art.
This curved shelf system is made from hammered zinc panels for a rustic texture. Seams were intentionally placed to give the shelves a handmade, artisan look. The zinc walls were hammered to create the texture and then flat rolled to diminish dimples.
Two handmade walnut shelves wrap the end of the wall that angles out. A walnut bench sits below the shelves for balance.
A fabricated zinc light box holds three directional art lights.
