[Des Plaines, IL April 7, 2017] National Association of the Remodeling Industry announces the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to Judy Jackson Mozen, MCR, GRP. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes accomplishments, awards, local community involvement, and NARI national involvement in both appointed and elected offices to an individual who has been in the remodeling industry for at least 20 years and a NARI member for seven or more years.

Judy Jackson Mozen, MCR, GCP, has been very involved both locally and nationally since 2004. She was identified as true leader early on. Judy has shown her commitment to professionalism through her credentials – Master Certified Remodeler and Green Certified Professional – both serve as hallmarks of knowledge and skill. Judy and her company, Handcrafted Homes, Inc., located in Roswell, Georgia have delivered on their company’s promise of “Making Artistic Designs Come to Life” and have been the recipients of the Contractor of the Year (CotY) awards both locally and regionally.

For her local chapter, Atlanta NARI, Judy spearheaded an education event in 2012 that continues annually and has seen increased involvement over the years. Nationally, Judy has served as a member of the Board of Directors and numerous committees including: Education, Strategic Planning and Marketing & Communications. Judy has served as a NARI Officer and Executive Committee member since 2012.

“Judy is an exemplary member of NARI and she represents the embodiment of NARI’s promise – Remodeling Done Right™ in all that she does. It has been a pleasure working with Judy as an Executive Officer,” said Fred Ulreich, CEO of NARI.

One of Judy’s most significant contributions to the remodeling industry has been Workforce Development. Single-handedly Judy put NARI on the map with this important issue by identifying the impending skills gap and to create a Workforce Development Program. She identified and elevated the issue and led the charge resulting in an annual meeting of professionals including allied organizations such as National Kitchen and Bath Association and the National Association of Home Builders.

Judy has been Builder and Remodeler for over 40 years in the Atlanta market. In addition to NARI, she has earned credentials in the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association where she was also awarded their premier OBIE awards; the first-ever “Remodeler of the Year” OBIE Award, in addition to receiving the OBIE “Professionalism Gold Award.

Thank you Judy, for your stewardship, professionalism and tireless support of the remodeling industry.
