This homeowner wanted to transform a closed, dated fishing lodge into a modern open-concept living space, while maintaining some of the elements of the lodge. During this renovation the stone walls and fireplace were preserved while the additions were removed to make room for new, modern structures. The new front entry combines steel, glass, stone and wood. A metal roof with steel fascia and new steel and wood clad windows were added as well. The entire interior was updated with white oak herringbone and limestone flooring. The dining, kitchen and living room are now one open living space. The lodge feel was preserved through the use of wood and metal elements and the original fireplace.
