  • How the designer can act as a leader and a bridge between all stakeholders throughout the sales, design, and remodeling process.
  • How to develop functional designs within budget and existing conditions constraints.
  • How to collaborate with the production team to develop more functional designs.
  • How to discover the client’s true motivations and priorities to develop optimal design solutions within budget.
  • How to set client expectations for greater control of the design process.
  • How to evaluate existing conditions for more informed design to avoid issues during the production phase.
  • How to develop optimal layouts for kitchens, baths, and all other areas of the home.
  • How to select appropriate materials, fixtures, and appliances based on their intended use.
  • How to support and inform the production team in executing the designer’s intended design.
*Please note that this program requires knowledge of the NKBA’s Kitchen & Bath Planning Guidelines – Fourth Edition. These guidelines are an essential tool for designers and knowledge of these guidelines will be necessary to pass the certification exam.
