Universal design experts break down results from consumer poll

What are the top universal design features consumers want in their homes? The latest consumer poll on NARI.org asked homeowners to choose which feature they would be willing to include in their remodeling projects. Grab bars and barrier-free shower in the bathroom was the top response at 63 percent, but NARI Universal Design Certified Professionals (UDCP) know accessibility extends far beyond the bathroom.

Introducing NARI’s new lobbyist

On May 1, Tom Sullivan opens a new chapter as general counsel of the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, D.C. NARI wishes Sullivan well in his new position and is appreciative of his work as NARI’s lobbyist the past two years. Sullivan was recognized by the Government Affairs Committee and the House of Delegates at NARI’s recent Spring Business meeting in Kansas City, Mo.

NARI research featured on Williams Financial Group on quarterly Management Discussion Call Series

Recently, Williams Financial Group (WFG) hosted Tom O’Grady, CR, CKBR from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) on our quarterly Management Discussion Call Series. The NARI is the only trade association dedicated solely to the remodeling industry.  The Association represents 7,000 member companies nationwide, comprised of 63,000 remodeling contractors. NARI is a professional association whose members voluntarily subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and is the “voice of the remodeling industry”.

Charlotte chapter aims to fill skills gap in remodeling

With a 9.5% unemployment rate in January 2013—compared with a 7.9% national unemployment rate—North Carolina is now struggling through an economic recovery, unable to fill new jobs because of an unqualified workforce.
