It’s Time To Enter NARI’s Annual CotY Awards: Apply Now!

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s annual CotY Awards are fast approaching, so now’s the time to reflect on your best remodeling projects from the past two years and submit your entries.

NARI is the only professional trade association dedicated solely to the remodeling industry. The organization’s CotY Awards is an annual recognition program for the remodeling industry that honors a select group of NARI members. Contractors from seven regions nationwide vie for the awards each year. Winners are selected by an impartial panel of judges who are experts in the industry. First submissions are judged on a regional level; then all of the regional winners are reviewed to determine the national winners.

Winning a CotY award can help you market the great work that your company does and show the nation just how good you, as a remodeler are. After the results are tallied, NARI will issue press releases announcing both regional and national winners to more than 10,000 publications nationwide and host a recognition celebration program to highlight a remodeler’s achievements. But you can take that recognition one step further and use the CotY Award to entice future clients and the industry as a whole through your own marketing efforts.

All CotY winners will also be awarded partial scholarships that can be applied toward new certification fees through June 2018. All Regional and National CotY winning companies and team members can use these scholarships to help offset the costs of a staff members’ new certification. Regional winners will receive a $100 scholarship; National winners get an additional $50 scholarship, for a total of $150.

Last year’s winners were selected from entries submitted throughout the United States.

NARI also recognizes the best Green Building projects and Universal Design projects. Green remodeling is based on building science, which looks at a home as an entire system, with every part working together and influencing how the home functions. These winners use products and techniques that provide more efficient, sustainable living environments. Universal design is about creating accessible spaces for all people, not only to those who wish to age-in-place but also families with special needs and families that are forward thinking.

Start applying today! Though the early bird deadline is November 7, 2016, you will need to take some time to select your best projects to enter, gather before and after photography of the job, create a presentation and fill out the entry forms to fulfill all the criteria for a 2017 NARI CotY award.
