Spaulding steps down as president-elect; Mozen appointed secretary
Fred Spaulding, CR, CKBR, UDCP, President-elect of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), announced his resignation effective Oct. 26, 2012. With extreme regret in reaching this difficult decision, Spaulding decided to step down due to health concerns.
NARI officers and staff express sincere appreciation of Spaulding’s hard work and dedication as an officer since 2008. During Spaulding’s tenure the association experienced dynamic changes in governance, leadership and member services.
In consultation with general counsel and consistent with bylaws and policies, the NARI Executive Committee supports a succession plan whereby current officers progressed to the next highest office. The Executive Committee believes that this succession best serves members and the organization. Michael Hydeck, MCR, CKBR, remains chairman, and Dean Herriges, MCR, CKBR, remains president. Art Donnelly, MCR, CKBR, now serves as president-elect, and Kevin Anundson, CR, CKBR, now serves as treasurer.
In accordance with the bylaws, the Executive Committee approved Judy Mozen, CR, GCP, as secretary.
Mozen resigned as chairman of the Certification Board and also served as vice chair of the Certification Board. Judy brings highly competent and diligent leadership to NARI and is sincerely welcomed to the team.
