Jake Schloegel, CR, Receives 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award

Community Service and Elevated Professionalism Serve as Career Cornerstone

National Association of the Remodeling Industry announces the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to Jake Schloegel, CR. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes accomplishments, awards, local community involvement, and NARI national involvement in both appointed and elected offices to an individual who has been in the remodeling industry for at least 20 years and a NARI member for seven or more years.

Jake Schloegel, CR, of Kansas City NARI, lives his professional life in a way that truly embraces the NARI Code of Ethics. He “pledges to observe high standards of honesty, integrity and responsibility in business.” Nationally, he currently serves on NARI’s Certification Board, and he’s been involved at the local level for more than 29 years. He’s served as Kansas City NARI Board President for three years, on multiple committees and awards programs, and has encouraged others in his company to take on roles at NARI as well. He was in the first class of Certified Remodelers at his chapter, and has encouraged almost 20 of his own employees to become NARI certified.

Jake’s company, Schloegel Design Remodel, has also demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and is the recipient of the 2017 Peter H. Johnson Image Award. This award is open to all who contribute to the enhancement of the remodeling industry’s image.

For sevyears, Schloegel Design Build has made a “big splash” in the lives of families with special needs children through their annual custom bath giveaway contest. They’ve also created a “ripple effect” by completing smaller remodeling projects to help families with special needs children as
well. Most recently, they transformed a small bathroom into an accessible bath for a child with Rett Syndrome. Team members expanded and remodeled the bathroom and adjacent hallway to accommodate the child’s wheelchair, installed a lift to help family members move and transport the child, and added a double door to the child’s bedroom. Area vendors donated materials and time to help complete the project.

Congratulations Jake for all that you have achieved and for helping NARI deliver ‘Remodeling Done Right™’ through your professional involvement and community engagement.
