Originally built in 1955, the kitchen of this Crestview home was dark, dated and not conducive to entertaining. To remedy this, we removed a partition wall with a small pass-through and installed an island that now acts as a gathering spot and integrates the kitchen with the dining and living areas. All original cabinets, lighting, appliances and finishes were removed, reconfigured and replaced to improve functionality. A bold range and colorful backsplash helped modernize the space and created visually harmony with the homeowner's vibrant concert poster collection mounted on adjacent accent walls.
