We converted an unfinished attic into a stunning home theater. Columns and trim work create a cadence on the walls. Designed to mimic wainscoting and help maximize acoustical quality, in-case acoustical panels add to the experience. Once a simple ceiling hatch, the team designed a switchback stairwell leading to the new theater by reconfiguring closets in two bedrooms. We also completed makeovers in a bathroom and laundry room by adding storage, counter space and a new, fresh aesthetic. The clients stayed within a strict budget by keeping the designs within the existing footprint and using economical materials.
