This home was chosen for its ideal location on a quiet lot overlooking the lake and its large square footage. However, after several remodels the interior floor plan was very disjointed. The client requested a remodel that would provide an open kitchen with space to cook and entertain for large groups, as well as serve as a family gathering space. To create a large open space, the home’s original secondary staircase was relocated. The new kitchen is anchored by a large, central island made from dark stained quarter sawn white oak. A functional butler’s pantry was also created to provide a nice transition between the dining room and new kitchen.
