Buckeye Basements, Delaware, Ohio
The clients wanted their 1,325-square-foot unfinished basement remodeled into a media/family room with an adjacent lounge and two gaming areas. The existing bathroom needed updating, and the builder-grade staircase removed and rebuilt as well. They desired a blend of modern and authentic rustic elements, which included a network of reclaimed wood beams and a live edge countertop. They also wanted an elegant bar to display their extensive bourbon collection, consisting of nearly 200 bottles of bourbon. The design continues the style from the upstairs space into the lower level. Matching doors, casing and baseboard were used throughout to create a seamless transition. Offset by brick elements, the final design is truly a showpiece.
