The clients wanted to renovate 1,200 square feet of their unfinished basement into a media room, lounge, wet bar with floating shelves and mirrored glass backsplash, bathroom with shower, and a children’s playroom, which could also be used as a future bedroom. They desired a space that would be practical and entertaining for both children and adults now, but versatile enough to allow for future changes as the family’s needs evolved. The final design, traditional in style and mixed with an industrial flair, is a remarkable transformation. Features include oil rubbed bronze and mirrored glass accents in the bar; a custom closet system in the playroom; and platform seating in the media room.
