At the heart of this remodel was the clients' desire for larger, brighter rooms that flowed together and reflected the clients’ classic modern aesthetic while still adhering to the genre of their 1914 Arts and Crafts bungalow. Along with new mechanicals throughout, the remodel created light-filled rooms that reflect the home’s genre with period millwork, finishes, and fixtures, and a floor plan that better connects the rooms to each other. The new kitchen layout creates a period statement and affords the modern entertaining experience the homeowners desired, while the second-story master suite provides an urban sanctuary and a sleek bathroom.
