The owner of this shingle style 1906 farmhouse in a historic village faced several renovation challenges. The intent was to maintain the home's architectural integrity and historic design elements within the original footprint, while updating and improving the functionality and energy efficiency for a modern lifestyle. Materials, including exterior trim, columns, windows and doors, were selected to duplicate original details. Five panel doors with reproduction crystal knobs and a refinished original front door and stairway complement the 110-year-old home.
