Kitchen Design Gallery, Lenexa, Kansas
The clients wanted to update their kitchen and open up the space to the adjacent room. They desired more breathing room and wanted to use the space to entertain and accommodate family functions. A mud room/drop zone was incorporated for added storage in the path of least resistance. To turn the kitchen layout around, the wall between the kitchen, living room and the fireplace from the hearth room was removed. The entire south side of the house was opened up with windows. Fifteen-inch deep walnut inset wall cabinets and all-drawer bases maximize cabinet space.
