Magnolia Homes, Woodway, Texas
The clients had a dark, drab kitchen with outdated vinyl flooring, green countertops and an awkward layout. The kitchen was basically closed off from the rest of the house, making the space feel very small. By using a variety of patterns and textures, such as floor-to-ceiling brick pavers painted white, black hexagonal tile, and stained shiplap for the ceiling, this kitchen was updated without stretching the budget. The stained cedar beams created a well-defined separation from the dining area. Gray custom cabinetry, black pulls, a striking bronze vent hood and modern-style open shelving units finish off this space.
