This 1903 Queen Anne “Vernacular Victorian” was a modest urban farmhouse that had been left untouched for 40 years. The home had been well loved but was neglected. The vivid green and blue paint served to cover a 1970s remodel, but hadn’t been updated since. The homeowners wanted to bring this small kitchen back to its original glory, with updates designed to join the 21st Century. Inspiration for the kitchen color came from chicken eggs, which was the perfect softened tone for this colorful home. The cabinets feature obscure glass details, spice drawers, and a toe-kick step stool, and are topped by honed Carrera marble countertops.
