Quality service, superior products, strong and lasting relationships and a dedication to customer satisfaction; these are the principles on which Top Master was built and the principles by which they continue to grow.
Customers have seen their trucks around Kansas City since 1984. Founder Tim Hovey started out of his garage fabricating and installing solid surface counter tops throughout the Kansas City metro area. Working primarily with kitchen dealers, builders and remodelers Top Master quickly became known as a company that offered top quality products and superior customer service. Soon, larger commercial accounts took notice of Top Master's expert reputation, and the company further expanded its services, providing solid surface tops to both large and small commercial projects in the surrounding area as well purchasing a fabricating company in Wichita.
Since 1984, due to its constant growth, Top Master has been housed in several locations and in 2000 relocated once again almost doubling its size to meet customer demand. Top Master’s main facility in Kansas City, Kansas is a 60,000 square-foot building, which houses a show room, Corporate Offices, and the solid surface fabrication shop. Just down the street is a 30,000 square-foot facility that handles the Company’s stone division fabrication shop for both natural and engineered stone products. The Wichita facility houses a show room, sales offices, and installation facilities for both solid surface and the natural stone products.
And now to meet demand and stay competitive in the market place, the company has invested in the latest advancements in equipment and machinery. Talk to any of the top executives at Top Master, Inc. and they will compare the new state-of-the-art, computer controlled equipment to a quantum leap in technology. The new technology makes Top Master, Inc. the most capable and cost-effective solid surface and stone fabricator in the region. Their investment will allow its customers to see superior quality, efficient turn-around times, and better value.
Now up and running in the natural stone fabrication facility are a new high tech dual-table saw jet and two large computer numeric control (CNC) routers – technology at its best! The new equipment is the key to providing the best quality and on time delivery on large or small projects.
The CNC quite simply mimics and replaces certain manual tasks in the fabrication process. When properly programmed, a CNC can produce a highly accurate finished piece in less time than manual labor. Because the finished piece will match the template exactly, the quality of the finished product is consistent and almost flawless. The CNC can also save time on slab layout and templating if you incorporate one of the many digital templating systems. The benefits of digital templating for fabrication are that countertops can be measured quickly and made to fit perfectly the first time. Accuracy and speed are two reasons digital templating has become an integral part of the modern countertop industry. With the new digital cutting and templating equipment the programmer can try multiple layouts in minutes, thus achieving better material utilization.
