Eligibility Criteria

• Continuous operation as a remodeling business for at least five (5) consecutive years.
  OR
• Continuous operation as a remodeling business for at least three (3) years with demonstrated experience in remodeling by a management team of at least five (5) consecutive years (with review of management team resumes).
• Must have someone on staff who holds a top-tier industry certification such as:

NARI: Certified Remodeler (CR) or Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR)

NAHB: GMB. GMR, CGB, CGR, CAPS

NKBA: CMKBD, CKBD, CKD

Step 1: Download and review NARI Accredited Remodeling Company Standard.

Step 2: Perform company self-assessment using the Self-Assessment Checklist (available upon request from NARI Accreditation staff at arc@nari.org or 847-298-9200). 

Step 3: Submit your official application stating intent to undergo accreditation within six (6) months. Please note that once you submit your company's application for enrollment in Accreditation, you must submit your official accreditation assessment for review by an independent Accreditation Assessor within 6 months. 

Step 4: Application is reviewed by NARI accreditation staff to assure program enrollment pre-requisites are met. Upon approval, NARI staff will e-mail you a link to the online assessment tool where you will complete your accreditation assessment for submission to the independent NARI Accreditation Assessor.

Step 5: Work on compliance with the NARI Accredited Remodeling Company Standard using the NARI Accredited Remodeling Company Guidebook (Guidebook provided upon application and enrollment in the program). 

Step 6: Submit your official accreditation assessment.

Step 7: NARI Accreditation Assessor reviews accreditation assessment and supporting documentation for compliance with Accreditation Standard.

Step 8: NARI Accreditation Assessor makes an official decision on applicant accreditation. 

Step 9: Receive Accreditation certificate, logo, and marketing toolkit to assist you in promoting your Accreditation to your prospective clients.

Step 10: Shout it from the rooftops! Your company is now a part of an elite group of remodeling companies who have proven their operations comply with THE industry standard for remodeling companies. You're vetted and accredited to a higher standard!

There are a number of different fees related to Accreditation:

1. Application Fee: $350 - Due at submission of application to the program. Fee will only be processed if the applicant is approved for enrollment in the program. If not approved, no fees will be processed. 
2. Accreditation Fee: Based on revenue as outlined in the table below. Due at the time of submission of official accreditation assessment. 
3. Annual Review and Reporting Fee: Outlined in the table below. Due annually along with review and renewal application for maintenance of Accreditation. 
4. Reaffirmation Fee (every 5 years): Based on revenue at the time or reaccreditation as outlined in the table below. Companies are required to undergo a full reaccreditation assessment every 5 years to confirm they continue to operate according to the Accreditation Standard.

By submitting your official application for enrollment in NARI Accreditation, your company commits to submitting its official Accreditation Assessment for review by an independent Accreditation Assessor within 6 months.
