Draw fresh prospects to your showroom through a ‘lifestyle’ event

It never hurts to create a fresh stream of prospects.  One NARI member created a “lifestyle event” series to entice potential customers to visit the showroom. “A lifestyle event intertwines with how someone lives in their homes and the personal aspect of that,” says Cheryl Savit, marketing coordinator at Feinmann Inc., based in Lexington, Mass.

How to make your remodeling bids more accurate

Providing accurate bids to homeowners is a challenge. Homeowners believe a remodeler should be able to assemble a number after one visit because “all kitchens cost $60,000 these days.”  But remodeling is not a one-size–fits-all business. Here’s one way to ensure you’re not providing a client with an inaccurate bid.

Remodeling alliance brings full-service remodeling to life

Alliances have become a buzzword in the remodeling industry, with suppliers looking to strengthen their contractor customers through various programs.  Contractors, too, are banding together to share business tips, mentorships, marketing advice and most importantly, referrals.

Introducing the NARI of Central PA chapter

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) is proud to announce an expansion of the organization with a new chapter, NARI of Central PA. This chapter will encompass the greater Harrisburg area. The new chapter addresses a need for a professional association focused solely on the growing remodeling market in the central and south central areas of the state.

Lighting, energy management, indoor/outdoor entertainment are most requested technologies

NARI’s Research Panelists, in the 2013 Q1 Remodeling Business Pulse (RBP) survey revealed a new source of consumer spending directed at residential technology. Three-quarters of respondents (76%) reported client satisfaction as a benefit of including residential technology in projects.

Seize unexpected marketing opportunities

What started out as a small, but exciting project for Bill Welte, president of Welte Construction, turned into a way to increase exposure in a desirable new community.  The Piedmont, Calif., home belonged to the owner of a large commercial construction company who was having a large renovation done with the help of several other companies and an architect.

Participation in Rebuilding Together Day helps strengthen communities

In honor of National Rebuilding Day on April 27, thousands of volunteers, corporations and skilled tradespeople banded together to revitalize local communities by working on homes and community centers in need of repair. The effort not only impacts deserving individuals, but communities and the county as a whole—providing value and maintenance to otherwise challenged areas allowing residents improved quality of life and renewed value in one of the largest assets many will ever have.

Congratulations to NARI members honored by remodeling industry publications

NARI congratulates members on their recent leadership recognition awarded by two trade publications, Remodeling Magazine and Professional Remodeler. These members exemplify NARI’s role as the leader in professionalism in remodeling, as they set the standard for professionalism and integrity through smart marketing, exemplary business practices, unique design, and extraordinary impact on your community or the industry at large.
